Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Ontario Forms (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms are provided in plain language and are not legal advice. Consider having them reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on them.
1. What Ontario Forms is — and is not
Ontario Forms is software that helps you complete Ontario Form 13 and Form 13.1 financial statements and prepare them for export. It is not a law firm, lawyer, or legal service; it does not provide legal advice; it does not choose which form applies to your situation; and it does not file documents with any court. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you enter and for confirming your form against the official Government of Ontario sources.
2. Not affiliated with the government
Ontario Forms is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Ontario, the Ministry of the Attorney General, or the Ontario Court of Justice. “Form 13” and “Form 13.1” are official court forms published by the Government of Ontario.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to submit false information to a court.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ data.
- Do not use the Service to infringe the rights of others.
5. Pricing, payment, and refunds
Completing and reviewing supported forms is currently free. A one-time export purchase of $49 CAD is planned; payment and export entitlement are being implemented separately. Once payment is live, a planned 30-day money-back policy is intended to apply to eligible export purchases. Prices, availability, and refund terms may change, and the applicable terms will be those presented at the time of purchase.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you enter. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display that information so we can provide the Service to you. Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding the official government forms and your own data), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our branding or software beyond using the Service as intended.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet court requirements in every situation or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for reviewing your completed form before relying on or submitting it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ontario Forms and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ontario Forms and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Changes and termination
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we update them, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
